Thanks to a bunch of awesome volunteers, we enjoyed another successful year of setting up Big Camp for the NNSW Conference. We've been enjoying the hard work and great fellowship of friends and team-members over the last week or so here at Stuarts Point, setting up canvass tents for the Adventist NNSW Conference Big-camp starting this week. Coonabarabran Mission Experience

Recently a team of us returned from the NSW town of Coonabarabran where we were working with the local SDA church in running a health expo, cooking demonstrations and door-to-door canvassing in the local community. Progress on the Ablutions Block

Over the past two weeks good progress has been made on the ablutions block, thanks to Christopher Johnson a plumber from Queensland who has come to connect up the plumbing side of things. At the moment the roof is on, the outside walls are clad, and the rough plumbing has been completed. The next step is to clad the internal walls, do the tiling and install and connect toilets, shower-heads, basins and taps.

Macquarie Uni Health Expo

Thursday last week we were privileged to work with 3AM church in Sydney helping facilitate a health expo with the ASOC club (Adventist Students on Campus) at Macquarie University.  A health expo training session was held Wednesday night, and was attended by about 12 people from at least three different local SDA churches. February 23rd marked the end of four exciting weeks of learning and experiencing true missionary work in action. We were blessed to have six students join us from NSW, QLD and VIC who were eager to soak up the instruction that God has given us in His word. Our prayers go with them as they scatter, some to return to their homes and some to journey to feilds of service where God has called them to work for Him.

Excitement runs high these days as we plan for our up-coming mission trip to the Philippines. Scheduled to leave on the 26th of September, a team from Eastward will be spending three weeks training and leading out in Health Evangelism in the region of Southern Luzon. About four weeks ago, we decided to open a regular market stall in the local markets at Port Macquarie. Our aim was to use this as a point of contact with people, and a way of raising funds for other Eastward projects. With high spirits we began to brainstorm what we could offer, and where to start.
