After the slab was poured on the 3rd of  October, the work on Eastward’s first staff house has progressed quickly. Having all the materials there and ready, it has so far been just a matter of matching everything together.  Rod has been up there most days, piecing it together.

The first step was to make the side walls up and then the Baileys and the Thomas-Tongs got up there together one day and stood them up together. Since then the rafters and purlins have all been screwed in place and the first of the insulation and roofing is going up.

It’s very exciting to watch the progress and help putting our first permanent dwelling up.
