In the pre-dawn hours of the 30th of November a team of ten, two taragos, a packed trailer and plenty of Kasey's granola set off on the road from Melbourne Victoria, bound for Perth WA and the 2016 canvassing program. A salty pink lake just out of Adaleide SA was an interesting pit stop along the way, with the first night of the road trip was spent camping in the flat bush country, with no facilities to be seen for miles around- a new experience for some of us!

 The next day after many more hours on the road we were able to stop and have a look at the Great Australian Bight and see the bottom of Australia. After another night camping, the group got to experience the 90 mile straight- Australia's longest straight road, eventually arriving in Perth on Friday the 2nd of December. We were kindly welcomed by a local pastor & his wife who  opened up their home and farm to host the canvassing program on their property. The farm has been a blessing in many ways, giving us an opportunity to be out in nature, do help work around the place, and accomodate a large group- plus of course the added bonus of having an abundance of avocados to eat! 

 On Sunday several more team members arrived, some locals from WA and some flying in from interstate. It is amazing to see the large team of committed young people that God has brought together for this program. It is definitely the biggest canvassing program to be held in Australia to date! 

 The first week saw the team settling into the busy schedule and experiencing the joy of being able to get out on the doors and put training into practice! For a number of the team this was their first time ever out canvassing. Praise God for the 152 cookbooks, 152 message books, and 450 small "Steps to Christ" that were left with people that first week! 

 That next Sabbath the team split up to share at three different church plants about the canvassing program and how God had blessed in the past week. It is great to see the news of what is happening in this work spreading! 

 On Sunday a van load of the team went to visit a lady's house in the community. She had been met on the doors by some of us and needed some practical help in her garden. It was a blessing to be able to do what we could to help her out with our free time. 

 Week 2 saw the ranks of the canvassing team swell to 24 as youth from the Sudanese church were inspired to come and be a part of the work. As the teamed swelled, so did the number of books that were getting out! We were excited to see 257 cookbooks, 326 message books (!!), and 1177 small "Steps to Christ" (!!!). 

 This last Sabbath the big team split into four for church services and sharing testimonies, and met up again together for lunch in King's Park, and another afternoon of GLOWING adventures in the city.

 God has been so good to us! We are now in week 3 and 28 people on campus. We appreciate your continued prayers and support. With out that none of this would be possible :)
