Satellite Week! (Canvassing Program News)
,
The later part of last week, after our short road trip and mountain adventures over the Christmas public holidays, found our team split in two. One team headed to Bussleton to work with the church down there and another to the Rockingham area.
We all missed being as one big team, but the busyness continued :)
The Rockingham team had several local church members come along with them, which was a blessing. They were also very grateful for the hospitality shown by the Fish family in accommodating them!
Over the three days, despite the very last minute planning, several of us getting sick, a miscalculation with the amount of books needed, etc. God blessed with allowing the two teams to get out 160 cookbooks, 81 Great Controversy, 29 Ministry of Healing, 15 Christ's Object Lessons, and 656 Steps to Christ! Along with other kids reading books and different DVD's.
On Sabbath the Rockingham team was able to share testimonies, music, and a sermon at the local church. After an encouraging time there with a challenge to make everything we do glorify God (especially in the new year) and a fellowship lunch, we went to witness a baptism. We met up with the other half of the Rocky team who had shared at Kelmscott church plant that morning. Some of our new friends committed there lives publicly to God through baptism that afternoon, and it was a joy to see and hear powerful testimonies of how God had worked.
Meanwhile the Bussleton team had enjoyed their morning at the local SDA church down there and were given an opportunity to share about the work we have been doing and some testimonies from the week. They had a relaxing afternoon down at the beach and also at the Bussleton jetty—admiring God's handiwork. After Sabbath closed they headed back up north to Pr John's place.
Now a new year has begun! Many blessings and experiences have already come, but as our time together as a team is finishing up we pray we can all stay faithful till we meet again. There are so many more details that could be shared, but time is lacking. Be inspired and encouraged by what the Lord has done in this past year, and wait for what He will do in the coming year.
Here are a few photos to go along :)
