Eastward to Cairns - On The Road

3,200 kilometers ticked over the tripmeter this morning as we rolled into Cairns, far-north Queensland. It feels like a lot more than a week has gone by since we left Eastward. Tip-Truck and Backhoe Adventures

We've been blessed with two very useful machines. A trusty backhoe and a very old tip-truck.  Over the last few weeks Tim and Andy have been pushing them to their limits as they prepare the ground for planting trees.  Watch the short video below to join them on a trip up the back of the Eastward property to get topsoil. Planting a Pecan Orchard

Since music camp, Tim and Andy have been very busy preparing and planting a Pecan orchard. More than 50 trees are being taken from their pots and put in carefully prepared soil this week. Using the backhoe, a deep hole is dug and filled with topsoil, in before the tree is planted. A generous amount of mulch is then put around the base of the tree to keep in moisture during the dry spells. Below are a few snapshots of the work in progress.

Sept - October Road Trip Begins

Tomorrow, Tim, Andy and I will be heading north for a two-month road trip. We will be going north, as far as Cairns QLD, and then will be working our way down the east coast, canvassing and visitng friends and churches.  Video editing (from music camp) and preparation for the Pecan orchard kept us from leaving in August, as originally planned. Filming Day 3 - Music Camp

On the third, and final day of filming we filmed the last two songs "Lord Send Me Anywhere" and "I'd Rather Have Jesus" at two very beautiful locations near Comboyne. The filming went fairly smoothly, the most difficult thing was trying to keep even lighting with the sun coming and going from behind clouds. Filming Day 2 - Music Camp

On the second day of filming we did the 'Into the Woods' medley. This is a longer and more complicated song, so we took extra time and filmed just this one song for the day.  The location was 'Kylie's Hut', in the crowdy bay national park. A beautiful rustic scene, which fitted well with the song. The filming was interupted quite a few times by light rain, but praise God that there was enough dry spells to finish the filming, by around 4pm. Below are some pictures.

Filming Day 1 - Music Camp

The first day of music camp filiming is over! We were at Diamond Head, Crowdy Bay National Park. It was such a wonderful time. We filmed two songs, 'All for Christ' and 'A Tender Heart'.  The first location was incredible windy, with a large swell out to see. On the Road

One of our newest initiatives is to put a full-time missionary team on the road, starting August this year (2015). This will enable the training that we have been providing on our rural property in Rollands Plains, Australia, to be taken to churches and offered in the form of weekend, or evening classes. The team will also do literature evangelism (canvassing) and offer health expo programs in the communities they visit. So we would like to extend the invitation to anyone who would like ...

Construction Progress
