Excitement runs high these days as we plan for our up-coming mission trip to the Philippines. Scheduled to leave on the 26th of September, a team from Eastward will be spending three weeks training and leading out in Health Evangelism in the region of Southern Luzon. Sunday Market Ministry

About four weeks ago, we decided to open a regular market stall in the local markets at Port Macquarie. Our aim was to use this as a point of contact with people, and a way of raising funds for other Eastward projects. With high spirits we began to brainstorm what we could offer, and where to start. After the slab was poured on the 3rd of  October, the work on Eastward’s first staff house has progressed quickly. Having all the materials there and ready, it has so far been just a matter of matching everything together.  Rod has been up there most days, piecing it together. Past Student's Wedding

Sunday the 28th of October saw Leah, a past Eastward student (2009) and Vikram Panchal married in a beautiful venue not far out of Melbourne. A simple ceremony was followed by photos and light refreshments. It was lovely to see some of Leah and Vikram’s family there from overseas and they were surrounded but their friends and church family. Here's the fence Eastward finished just a few weeks ago. It partitions off a small section of the paddock where the soil is already being prepared for a new garden – this one, under plastic.
