Exciting Progress on Staff House!

After the slab was poured on the 3rd of  October, the work on Eastward’s first staff house has progressed quickly. Having all the materials there and ready, it has so far been just a matter of matching everything together.  Rod has been up there most days, piecing it together. Past Student's Wedding

Sunday the 28th of October saw Leah, a past Eastward student (2009) and Vikram Panchal married in a beautiful venue not far out of Melbourne. A simple ceremony was followed by photos and light refreshments. It was lovely to see some of Leah and Vikram’s family there from overseas and they were surrounded but their friends and church family. Praise God for perfect sunny weather on the day and may God bless this union.

“Another recent church training visit was to Woy Woy on the Central Coast of NSW. We had been invited at the suggestion of Josh Corda, one of our students in 2011, who is living near Woy Woy and working with Pr. Eddie Mackie in outreach. EMC's New Fence!

Here's the fence Eastward finished just a few weeks ago. It partitions off a small section of the paddock where the soil is already being prepared for a new garden – this one, under plastic. Eastward was donated a large hot-house frame and we finally have the area fenced off and ready for the next stage. So, Thursday the 21st of June we drove to Melbourne and got there mid afternoon, just in time to settle in, get the kids washed, and have a meeting with two Gateway representatives who had come over to talk to the presenters for the weekend. Thursday June 14 – We traveled to the lovely Tumbarumba area at the base of the foothills to the famous and romantic Snowy Mountains. Monday the 11th

Well we had a ball yesterday! We didn’t actually get to go and touch snow but we did see some from a distance. It was really pretty. First we went to the Red Stag Deer Farm where the ostriches and raindeer were the attractions. We had heaps of fun. There were about 26 of us in our group and it was awesome just hanging out, taking pictures and being together.
